15 ‘For I have not sent them,’ says Adonai, ‘and they are prophesying falsely in my name, with the result that I will drive you out, and you will perish — you and the prophets prophesying to you.’”
16 I also spoke to the cohanim and to all this people; I said, “This is what Adonai says: ‘Don’t listen to the words of the prophets prophesying to you that the articles from Adonai’s house will soon be returned from Bavel; because they are prophesying lies to you. 17 Don’t listen to them. Serve the king of Bavel, and stay alive; why should this city become a ruin?’

15 ‘I have not sent(A) them,’ declares the Lord. ‘They are prophesying lies in my name.(B) Therefore, I will banish you and you will perish,(C) both you and the prophets who prophesy to you.’”
16 Then I said to the priests and all these people, “This is what the Lord says: Do not listen to the prophets who say, ‘Very soon now the articles(D) from the Lord’s house will be brought back from Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you. 17 Do not listen(E) to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and you will live.(F) Why should this city become a ruin?
