⁹ behold, I will ^(A)send and take all the families of the north,’ declares Yahweh, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, ^(B)My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will ^[a]devote them to destruction and ^(C)make them an object of horror and of hissing and an everlasting waste place.

⁷ For thus says Lord Yahweh, “Behold, I will bring upon Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, ^(A)king of kings, with horses, ^(B)chariots, horsemen, and an assembly, a great number of people. ⁸ He will kill your daughters ^[a]on the mainland with the sword; and he will make ^(C)siege walls against you, cast up a ^(D)ramp against you, and raise up a large shield against you. ⁹ The blow of his battering rams he will direct against your walls, and with his swords he will tear down your towers. ¹⁰ Because of the abundance of his ^(E)horses, the fine dust raised by them will cover you; your walls will ^(F)shake at the noise of horsemen and ^[b]wagons and chariots when he ^(G)enters your gates as men enter a city that is breached.
