Jeremiah 25:36-38
Good News Translation
36-37 You moan and cry out in distress because the Lord in his anger has destroyed your nation and left your peaceful country in ruins. 38 The Lord has abandoned his people[a] like a lion that leaves its cave. The horrors of war and the Lord's fierce anger have turned the country into a desert.

Jeremiah 25:36-38
New International Version
36 Hear the cry(A) of the shepherds,(B)
the wailing of the leaders of the flock,
for the Lord is destroying their pasture.
37 The peaceful meadows will be laid waste
because of the fierce anger of the Lord.
38 Like a lion(C) he will leave his lair,
and their land will become desolate(D)
because of the sword[a] of the oppressor(E)
and because of the Lord’s fierce anger.(F)
