17 They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord, (A)‘It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who (B)stubbornly follows his own heart, they say, (C)‘No disaster shall come upon you.’”
18 For (D)who among them has stood in the council of the Lord
to see and to hear his word,
or who has paid attention to his word and listened?
19 (E)Behold, the storm of the Lord!
Wrath has gone forth,
(F)a whirling tempest;
it will burst upon the head of the wicked.

‘The Lord says: You will have peace.’(B)
And to all who follow the stubbornness(C) of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm(D) will come to you.’
18 But which of them has stood in the council(E) of the Lord
to see or to hear his word?
Who has listened and heard his word?
19 See, the storm(F) of the Lord
will burst out in wrath,
a whirlwind(G) swirling down
on the heads of the wicked.
