Jeremiah 22:9-11
Living Bible
9 And the answer will be, “Because the people living here forgot the Lord their God and violated his agreement with them, for they worshiped idols.”
10 Don’t weep for the dead! Instead weep for the captives led away! For they will never return to see their native land again. 11 For the Lord says this about Jehoahaz who succeeded his father[a] King Josiah and was taken away as a captive:

Jeremiah 22:9-11
New International Version
9 And the answer will be: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God and have worshiped and served other gods.(A)’”
10 Do not weep for the dead(B) king or mourn(C) his loss;
rather, weep bitterly for him who is exiled,
because he will never return(D)
nor see his native land again.
11 For this is what the Lord says about Shallum[a](E) son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but has gone from this place: “He will never return.
