Jeremiah 22:9-11
International Standard Version
9 Then people[a] will respond, ‘It is[b] because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God and have bowed down to other gods and served them.’
10 “Don’t cry for the dead
or grieve for them.
Weep bitterly for the one going away,
because he won’t return again
nor see the land of his birth.
11 “For this is what the Lord says about Josiah’s son Shallum,[c] king of Judah, who reigned in place of his father Josiah: ‘He went out from this place and won’t return to it again.

Jeremiah 22:9-11
New International Version
9 And the answer will be: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God and have worshiped and served other gods.(A)’”
10 Do not weep for the dead(B) king or mourn(C) his loss;
rather, weep bitterly for him who is exiled,
because he will never return(D)
nor see his native land again.
11 For this is what the Lord says about Shallum[a](E) son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but has gone from this place: “He will never return.
