¹⁰ For I have ^(A)set My face against this city for ^[a]evil and not for good,” declares Yahweh. “It will be ^(B)given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will ^(C)burn it with fire.”’

³ because Zedekiah king of Judah had ^(A)shut him up, saying, “Why do you ^(B)prophesy, saying, ‘^(C)Thus says Yahweh, “Behold, I am about to ^(D)give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will capture it; ⁴ and Zedekiah king of Judah will ^(E)not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but he will surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will ^(F)speak with him ^[a]face to face and see him eye to eye; ⁵ and he will ^(G)lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and he will be there until I ^[b]visit him,” declares Yahweh. “If you fight against the Chaldeans, you will ^(H)not succeed”’?”
