15 The [a]Lions roared upon him and yelled, and they have made his land waste: his cities are burnt without [b]an inhabitant.
16 Also the children of [c]Noph and Tahapanes have [d]broken thine head.
17 Hast not thou procured this unto thyself, because thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, when he [e]led thee by the way?

have cracked your skull.
17 Have you not brought this on yourselves(G)
by forsaking(H) the Lord your God
when he led you in the way?
