14 Does the snow of Lebanon leave
    the crags of Sirion?[a]
Do the mountain waters run dry,[b]
    the cold flowing streams?
15 (A)But my people have forgotten me;
    they make offerings to (B)false gods;
they made them stumble in their ways,
    (C)in the ancient roads,
and to walk into side roads,
    (D)not the highway,
16 making their land (E)a horror,
    a thing (F)to be hissed at for ever.

Do its cool waters from distant sources
    ever stop flowing?[a]
15 Yet my people have forgotten(A) me;

They made them walk in byways,
    on roads not built up.(F)
16 Their land will be an object of horror(G)
