Jeremiah 18:13-15

13 “Therefore thus says the Lord,
‘(A)Ask now among the nations,
Who ever heard the like of [a]this?
The (B)virgin of Israel
Has done a most (C)appalling thing.
14 ‘Does the snow of Lebanon forsake the rock of the open country?
Or is the cold flowing water from a foreign land ever snatched away?
15 ‘For (D)My people have forgotten Me,
(E)They burn incense [b]to worthless gods
And they [c]have stumbled [d]from their ways,
[e]From the (F)ancient paths,
To walk in bypaths,
Not on a (G)highway,

by Virgin(C) Israel.
14 Does the snow of Lebanon
ever vanish from its rocky slopes?
Do its cool waters from distant sources
ever stop flowing?[a]
15 Yet my people have forgotten(D) me;
they burn incense(E) to worthless idols,(F)
which made them stumble(G) in their ways,
in the ancient paths.(H)
They made them walk in byways,
on roads not built up.(I)
