⁵ “Look, the days are coming”^(A)—this is the Lord’s declaration—
“when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David.^(B)
He will reign wisely as king
and administer justice and righteousness in the land.^(C)

¹² Therefore look, the days are coming^(A)—
this is the Lord’s declaration—
when I will send pourers to him, who will pour him out.
They will empty his containers
and smash his jars.

² Therefore look, the days are coming^(A)—
this is the Lord’s declaration—
when I will make the shout of battle^(B) heard
against Rabbah^(C) of the Ammonites.
It will become a desolate mound,
and its surrounding villages will be set on fire.
Israel will dispossess their dispossessors,
says the Lord.
