At one moment I might announce concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will uproot, tear down, and destroy it.(A) However, if that nation about which I have made the announcement turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the disaster I had planned to do to it.(B) At another time I might announce concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it.(C) 10 However, if it does what is evil in my sight by not listening to me, I will relent concerning the good I had said I would do to it.(D)

If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted,(A) torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent(B) and not inflict on it the disaster(C) I had planned. And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built(D) up and planted, 10 and if it does evil(E) in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider(F) the good I had intended to do for it.(G)
