James 2:7-9
Disciples’ Literal New Testament
7 Do not they blaspheme the good name having been called[a] upon you? 8 If indeed[b] you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture [in Lev 19:18], “You shall love your neighbor as yourself ”, you are doing well[c]. 9 But if you are showing-respect-of-persons you are working[d] a sin, being convicted[e] by the Law as transgressors.

7 Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?
8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”[a](A) you are doing right. 9 But if you show favoritism,(B) you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.(C)
