3 A voice of one crying out:
Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness;(A)make a straight highway for our God in the desert.(B)

Look, I am sending My messenger(C) ahead of You,who will prepare Your way.[b]
76 And child, you will be calleda prophet of the Most High,(A)for you will go before the Lordto prepare His ways,(B)
