And Bashan and Carmel ^[a]lose their foliage.

“There is ^(A)wailing in all the plazas,
And in all the streets they say, ‘Alas! Alas!’
They also call the ^(B)farmer to mourning
And ^[a](C)professional weepers to wailing.

³ “I will end ^(A)man and beast;
I will end the ^(B)birds of the sky
And the fish of the sea
And the ^[a](C)ruins along with the wicked;
And I will cut off man from the face of the ground,” declares Yahweh.
