Isaiah 10:3-6

New International Version

³What will you do on the day of reckoning,^(A)
    when disaster^(B) comes from afar?
To whom will you run for help?^(C)
    Where will you leave your riches?
⁴Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives^(D)
    or fall among the slain.^(E)

Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away,^(F)
his hand is still upraised.

God’s Judgment on Assyria

⁵“Woe^(G) to the Assyrian,^(H) the rod^(I) of my anger,
    in whose hand is the club^(J) of my wrath!^(K)
⁶I send him against a godless^(L) nation,
    I dispatch^(M) him against a people who anger me,^(N)
to seize loot and snatch plunder,^(O)
    and to trample^(P) them down like mud in the streets.

Flee for safety without delay!
