²^(A)to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour,
^(B)and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;

²To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

⁴^(A)For the day of vengeance was in my heart,
and my year of redemption^[a] had come.

⁴For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

⁷Remember, O Lord, against the ^(A)Edomites
^(B)the day of Jerusalem,
how they said, ^(C)“Lay it bare, lay it bare,
down to its foundations!”

⁷Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
