⁹ And he said, Go, and say unto this people, ^[a]Ye shall hear indeed, but ye shall not understand: ye shall plainly see, and not perceive.

¹⁰ For the Lord hath covered you with a spirit of slumber, and hath shut up your eyes: the Prophet, and your chief Seers hath he covered.

¹⁴ So in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which prophecy saith, ^(A)By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive.

^40 (A)He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
