7 (A)Their feet run to evil,
And they make haste to shed (B)innocent blood;
(C)Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
Wasting and (D)destruction are in their paths.
8 The way of (E)peace they have not known,
And there is no justice in their ways;
(F)They have made themselves crooked paths;
Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.

9 Therefore justice is far from us,
Nor does righteousness overtake us;
(G)We look for light, but there is darkness!
For brightness, but we walk in blackness!

7 Their feet rush into sin;
they are swift to shed innocent blood.(A)
They pursue evil schemes;(B)
acts of violence mark their ways.(C)
8 The way of peace they do not know;(D)
there is no justice in their paths.
They have turned them into crooked roads;(E)
no one who walks along them will know peace.(F)
9 So justice is far from us,
and righteousness does not reach us.
We look for light, but all is darkness;(G)
for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.
