¹¹We all growl like bears;
^(A)we moan and moan like doves;
^(B)we hope for justice, but there is none;
for salvation, but it is far from us.

¹¹We all growl like bears;
we moan mournfully like doves.^(A)
We look for justice, but find none;
for deliverance, but it is far away.

²For behold, darkness shall cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will arise upon you,
and his glory will be seen upon you.

²See, darkness^(A) covers the earth
and thick darkness^(B) is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
