Isaiah 53:3-5
New American Standard Bible 1995
3 He was (A)despised and forsaken of men,
A man of [a]sorrows and (B)acquainted with [b]grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was (C)despised, and we did not (D)esteem Him.
4 Surely our [c]griefs He Himself (E)bore,
And our [d]sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
[e]Smitten of (F)God, and afflicted.
5 But He was [f]pierced through for (G)our transgressions,
He was crushed for (H)our iniquities;
The (I)chastening for our [g]well-being fell upon Him,
And by (J)His scourging we are healed.
