Isaiah 5:29-30
Easy-to-Read Version
29 The shouts of the enemy sound like the roar of lions. Like strong, young lions, they growl and grab their prey. The captives struggle and try to escape, but there is no one to save them. 30 Then there is a roar as loud as the ocean waves, and the captives turn their faces to the ground. And there is only darkness closing in as the light fades away in a black cloud.

New International Version
29 Their roar is like that of the lion,(A)
they roar like young lions;
they growl as they seize(B) their prey
and carry it off with no one to rescue.(C)
30 In that day(D) they will roar over it
like the roaring of the sea.(E)
And if one looks at the land,
there is only darkness(F) and distress;(G)
even the sun will be darkened(H) by clouds.
