Isaiah 5:23

²³who acquit the guilty for a bribe,^(A)
but deny justice^(B) to the innocent.^(C)

New King James Version

²³Who ^(A)justify the wicked for a bribe,
And take away justice from the righteous man!

⁷Scoundrels use wicked methods,^(A)
they make up evil schemes^(B)
to destroy the poor with lies,
even when the plea of the needy^(C) is just.^(D)

⁷Also the schemes of the schemer are evil;
He devises wicked plans
To destroy the poor with ^(A)lying words,
Even when the needy speaks justice.

⁴Therefore the law^(A) is paralyzed,
and justice never prevails.
The wicked hem in the righteous,
so that justice^(B) is perverted.^(C)

⁴Therefore the law is powerless,
And justice never goes forth.
For the ^(A)wicked surround the righteous;
Therefore perverse judgment proceeds.
