Isaiah 5:13-15

13 Therefore my people are gone into captivity for lack of knowledge; and [a]their honorable men are famished, and their multitude are parched with thirst. 14 Therefore Sheol hath enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, and their multitude, and their [b]pomp, and he that rejoiceth among them, descend into it. 15 And the mean man is bowed down, and the great man is humbled, and the eyes of the lofty are humbled:

New International Version
13 Therefore my people will go into exile(A)
for lack of understanding;(B)
those of high rank(C) will die of hunger
and the common people will be parched with thirst.(D)
14 Therefore Death(E) expands its jaws,
opening wide its mouth;(F)
into it will descend their nobles and masses
with all their brawlers and revelers.(G)
15 So people will be brought low(H)
and everyone humbled,(I)
the eyes of the arrogant(J) humbled.
