2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp [a]sword: under the shadow of his hand hath he [b]hid me, and made me a chosen shaft, and hid me in his quiver,
3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant [c]Israel, for I will be glorious in thee.
4 And I said, I have [d]labored in vain: I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing; but my judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God.

New International Version
2 He made my mouth(A) like a sharpened sword,(B)
in the shadow of his hand(C) he hid me;
he made me into a polished arrow(D)
and concealed me in his quiver.
3 He said to me, “You are my servant,(E)
Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.(F)”
4 But I said, “I have labored in vain;(G)
I have spent my strength for nothing at all.
Yet what is due me is in the Lord’s hand,(H)
and my reward(I) is with my God.”(J)
