God Speaks about the Servant

This is what God says—
    the God[c] who created the heavens
        and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and its produce,
    who gives breath to the people on it
        and life[d] to those who walk in it:
“I’ve[e] called you in righteousness.
    I’ll take hold of your hand.
I’ll preserve you and appoint you
    as a covenant to the people,[f]
        as a light for the nations,
