4 when the Lord has washed away the filth(A) of the daughters of Zion and cleansed the bloodguilt(B) from the heart of Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment(C) and a spirit of burning.(D) 5 Then the Lord will create(E) a cloud of smoke by day(F) and a glowing flame of fire by night over the entire site of Mount Zion and over its assemblies. For there will be a canopy over all the glory,[a] 6 and there will be a shelter for shade from heat by day and a refuge and shelter from storm and rain.(G)

4 The Lord will wash away the filth(A) of the women of Zion;(B) he will cleanse(C) the bloodstains(D) from Jerusalem by a spirit[a] of judgment(E) and a spirit[b] of fire.(F) 5 Then the Lord will create(G) over all of Mount Zion(H) and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night;(I) over everything the glory[c](J) will be a canopy.(K) 6 It will be a shelter(L) and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge(M) and hiding place from the storm(N) and rain.
