Isaiah 38:12-14
New American Standard Bible 1995
12 “Like a shepherd’s (A)tent my dwelling is pulled up and removed from me;
As a (B)weaver I (C)rolled up my life.
He (D)cuts me off from the loom;
From (E)day until night You make an end of me.
13 “I composed my soul until morning.
(F)Like a lion—so He (G)breaks all my bones,
From (H)day until night You make an end of me.
14 “(I)Like a swallow, like a crane, so I twitter;
I (J)moan like a dove;
My (K)eyes look wistfully to the heights;
O Lord, I am oppressed, be my (L)security.
Isaiah 38:12-14
New International Version
12 Like a shepherd’s tent(A) my house
has been pulled down(B) and taken from me.
Like a weaver I have rolled(C) up my life,
and he has cut me off from the loom;(D)
day and night(E) you made an end of me.
13 I waited patiently(F) till dawn,
but like a lion he broke(G) all my bones;(H)
day and night(I) you made an end of me.
14 I cried like a swift or thrush,
I moaned like a mourning dove.(J)
My eyes grew weak(K) as I looked to the heavens.
I am being threatened; Lord, come to my aid!”(L)
