² “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Write^(A) in a book all the words I have spoken to you. ³ The days^(B) are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will bring^(C) my people Israel and Judah back from captivity^[a] and restore^(D) them to the land I gave their ancestors to possess,’ says the Lord.”

² “Take a scroll^(A) and write on it all the words^(B) I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah and all the other nations from the time I began speaking to you in the reign of Josiah^(C) till now.

⁴ So Jeremiah called Baruch^(A) son of Neriah,^(B) and while Jeremiah dictated^(C) all the words the Lord had spoken to him, Baruch wrote them on the scroll.^(D)

³² So Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to the scribe Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated,^(A) Baruch wrote^(B) on it all the words of the scroll that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned^(C) in the fire. And many similar words were added to them.
