⁷ But in that day^(A) he will cry out,
    “I have no remedy.^(B)
I have no food^(C) or clothing in my house;
    do not make me the leader of the people.”^(D)

⁸ Jerusalem staggers,
    Judah is falling;^(E)
their words^(F) and deeds^(G) are against the Lord,
    defying^(H) his glorious presence.
⁹ The look on their faces testifies^(I) against them;
    they parade their sin like Sodom;^(J)
    they do not hide it.
Woe to them!
    They have brought disaster^(K) upon themselves.
