¹¹ For you the entire vision will be like the words of a sealed document.^(A) If it is given to one who can read and he is asked to read it,^[a] he will say, “I can’t read it, because it is sealed.”

⁹ So I looked and saw a hand reaching out to me,^(A) and there was a written scroll in it.^{(B) 10} When he unrolled it before me, it was written on the front and back; words of lamentation, mourning, and woe were written on it.

⁴ “But you, Daniel, keep these words secret^(A) and seal the book^(B) until the time of the end.^(C) Many will roam about,^(D) and knowledge will increase.”^[a]
