16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lay in Zion a stone, a [a]tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation. He that believeth, [b]shall not make haste.

17 Judgment also will I lay to the rule, and [c]righteousness to the balance, and the [d]hail shall sweep away the vain confidence, and the waters shall overflow [e]the secret place.

18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand: when a scourge shall run over and pass through, then shall ye be trodden down by it.

    you will be beaten down(K) by it.
