⁹ Therefore by this ^(A)the guilt of Jacob will be atoned for,
    and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin:^[a]
(B)when he makes all the stones of the altars
    like chalk-stones crushed to pieces,
    no ^(C)Asherim or incense altars will remain standing.

¹³ and ^(A)I will cut off your carved images
    and ^(B)your pillars from among you,
^(C)and you shall bow down no more
    to the work of your hands;
¹⁴ and I will root out your ^(D)Asherah images from among you
    ^(E)and destroy your cities.
