Isaiah 25:9-11
International Children’s Bible
9 At that time people will say,
“Our God is doing this!
We have trusted in him, and he has come to save us.
We have been trusting our Lord.
So we will rejoice and be happy when he saves us.”
10 The Lord will protect Jerusalem.
But the Lord will crush our enemy Moab.
Moab will be like straw that is trampled down in the manure.
11 They will spread their arms in it
like a person who is swimming.
The Lord will bring down their pride.
All the clever things they have made will mean nothing.
Isaiah 25:9-11
New International Version
9 In that day(A) they will say,
“Surely this is our God;(B)
we trusted(C) in him, and he saved(D) us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him;
let us rejoice(E) and be glad in his salvation.”(F)
10 The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain;(G)
but Moab(H) will be trampled in their land
as straw is trampled down in the manure.
11 They will stretch out their hands in it,
as swimmers stretch out their hands to swim.
God will bring down(I) their pride(J)
despite the cleverness[a] of their hands.
