⁸No one plays tambourines
or stringed instruments;
all noisy celebrating
has come to an end.

New International Version

⁸The joyful timbrels^(A) are stilled,
the noise^(B) of the revelers^(C) has stopped,
the joyful harp^(D) is silent.^(E)

¹³^(A) You will have no reason to sing or play music on harps,

¹³I will put an end^(A) to your noisy songs,^(B) and the music of your harps^(C) will be heard no more.^(D)
