Isaiah 24:3-5
Good News Translation

3 The earth will lie shattered and ruined. The Lord has spoken and it will be done.

4 The earth dries up and withers; the whole world grows weak; both earth and sky decay. 5 The people have defiled the earth by breaking God's laws and by violating the covenant he made to last forever.

New International Version

3 The earth will be completely laid waste(A)
    and totally plundered.(B)
The Lord has spoken(C) this word.

4 The earth dries up(D) and withers,(E)
    the world languishes and withers,
    the heavens(F) languish with the earth.(G)
5 The earth is defiled(H) by its people;
    they have disobeyed(I) the laws,
violated the statutes
    and broken the everlasting covenant.(J)
