3 Then the Lord said, “Just as My servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot three years (A)for a sign and a wonder against Egypt and Ethiopia, 4 so shall the (B)king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians as prisoners and the Ethiopians as captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, (C)with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. 5 (D)Then they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation and Egypt their glory.

3 Then the Lord said, “Just as my servant(A) Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years,(B) as a sign(C) and portent(D) against Egypt(E) and Cush,[a](F) 4 so the king(G) of Assyria will lead away stripped(H) and barefoot the Egyptian captives(I) and Cushite(J) exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared(K)—to Egypt’s shame.(L) 5 Those who trusted(M) in Cush(N) and boasted in Egypt(O) will be dismayed and put to shame.(P)
