Isaiah 2:3-5

International Standard Version

³Many groups of people^[a] will come, commenting,
“Come! Let’s go up to^[b] the Temple of the God of Jacob,
that they^[c] may teach us his ways.
Then let’s walk in his paths.”

The Rule of God from Jerusalem

“Instruction^[d] will proceed from Zion,
and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
⁴He will judge between the nations,
and will render verdicts^[e] for the benefit of many.^[f]

“They will beat their swords into plowshares,
and their spears into pruning hooks;
nations will not raise swords against nations,
and they will not learn warfare anymore.

⁵“You house of Jacob!

Come! Let’s live^[g] in the Lord’s light.

Isaiah 2:3-5

New International Version

³Many peoples^(A) will come and say,

“Come, let us go^(B) up to the mountain^(C) of the Lord,
    to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
    so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law^(D) will go out from Zion,
    the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.^(E)
⁴He will judge^(F) between the nations
    and will settle disputes^(G) for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
    and their spears into pruning hooks.^(H)
Nation will not take up sword against nation,^(I)
    nor will they train for war anymore.
