Isaiah 17:8-10

8 they will not have regard for the altars, the work of their hands, and they will not look to what their own fingers have made, either the sacred poles[a] or the altars of incense.(A)
9 On that day their fortified cities will be like the deserted places of the Hivites and the Amorites,[b] which they deserted because of the people of Israel, and there will be desolation.(B)
10 For you have forgotten God your Savior
and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge;
therefore, though you plant pleasant gardens
and set out branches of a foreign god,(C)

8 They will not look to the altars,(A)
the work of their hands,(B)
and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles[a](C)
and the incense altars their fingers(D) have made.
9 In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth.(E) And all will be desolation.
