    they are heard as far as Jahaz.
At this the loins of Moab tremble,
    his soul quivers within him;(A)
My heart cries out for Moab,
    his fugitives reach Zoar,

The ascent of Luhith
    they ascend weeping;
On the way to Horonaim
    they utter rending cries;(B)
The waters of Nimrim
    have become a waste,
The grass is withered,
    new growth is gone,
    nothing is green.

    and their hearts are faint.

My heart cries out(D) over Moab;(E)
    her fugitives(F) flee as far as Zoar,(G)
    as far as Eglath Shelishiyah.
They go up the hill to Luhith,
    weeping as they go;
on the road to Horonaim(H)
    they lament their destruction.(I)
The waters of Nimrim are dried up(J)
    and the grass is withered;(K)
the vegetation is gone(L)
    and nothing green is left.(M)
