Isaiah 14:6-8
Tree of Life Version
6 which struck the people in wrath
with continual strokes,
which ruled the nations in fury,
with relentless persecution.
7 The whole earth is at rest, and quiet.
They break forth with a ringing cry!
8 Even the cypress trees rejoice over you,
along with the cedars of Lebanon:
“Since you were laid low,
no woodcutter comes up against us.”

6 which in anger struck down peoples(A)
with unceasing blows,
and in fury subdued(B) nations
with relentless aggression.(C)
7 All the lands are at rest and at peace;(D)
they break into singing.(E)
8 Even the junipers(F) and the cedars of Lebanon
gloat over you and say,
“Now that you have been laid low,
no one comes to cut us down.”(G)

7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
