¹⁰ On that day the root of Jesse^(A)
will stand as a banner for the peoples.^(B)
The nations will seek Him,^(C)
and His resting place will be glorious.^(D)

¹⁵ For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said:
“You will be delivered by returning and resting;
your strength will lie in quiet confidence.
But you are not willing.”

¹⁷ The result of righteousness will be peace;^(A)
the effect of righteousness
will be quiet confidence forever.
¹⁸ Then my people will dwell in a peaceful place,
in safe and secure dwellings.
