9 If the Lord All-Powerful had not allowed a few people to live, we would have been destroyed completely like the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. And that almost happened!
10 You officers of Sodom, listen to the Lord’s message. You people of Gomorrah,[a] listen to God’s teaching. 11 The Lord says, “Why do you continue giving me all these sacrifices? I have had enough of your sacrifices of rams and the fat from well-fed animals. I don’t want the blood of those bulls, sheep, and goats.

9 Unless the Lord Almighty
had left us some survivors,(A)
we would have become like Sodom,
we would have been like Gomorrah.(B)
10 Hear the word of the Lord,(C)
you rulers of Sodom;(D)
listen to the instruction(E) of our God,
you people of Gomorrah!(F)
11 “The multitude of your sacrifices—
what are they to me?” says the Lord.
“I have more than enough of burnt offerings,
of rams and the fat of fattened animals;(G)
I have no pleasure(H)
in the blood of bulls(I) and lambs and goats.(J)
