27 Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and [a]her converts with righteousness. 28 But the [b]destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and they that forsake Jehovah shall be consumed. 29 For they shall be ashamed of the [c]oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

27 Zion will be delivered with justice,
    her penitent(A) ones with righteousness.(B)
28 But rebels and sinners(C) will both be broken,
    and those who forsake(D) the Lord will perish.(E)

29 “You will be ashamed(F) because of the sacred oaks(G)
    in which you have delighted;
you will be disgraced because of the gardens(H)
    that you have chosen.
