2 Rebels(A) are deeply involved in slaughter;(B)
I will be a punishment for all of them.[a]
3 I know Ephraim,(C)
and Israel is not hidden from me.
For now, Ephraim,(D)
you have acted promiscuously;
Israel is defiled.
4 Their actions do not allow them
to return to their God,(E)
for a spirit of promiscuity is among them,(F)
and they do not know the Lord.(G)

4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord.
