⁸ The high places^(A) of Aven, the sin of Israel,^(B)
will be destroyed;
thorns and thistles will grow over their altars.^(C)
They will say to the mountains,^(D) ‘Cover us! ’
and to the hills, ‘Fall on us! ’^(E)
