Hebrews 5:5-7

5 In the same way, the Messiah didn’t exalt himself so that he might become a high priest. It came about through the one who said to him,
You are my son; today I have become your father.
6 As he says in another passage,
You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.
7 During the time of Jesus’ earthly life, he offered up prayers and supplications, with loud shouts and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death. He was heard because of his devotion.

Hebrews 5:5-7
New International Version
5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory(A) of becoming a high priest.(B) But God said(C) to him,
6 And he says in another place,
7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions(G) with fervent cries and tears(H) to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard(I) because of his reverent submission.(J)
