Hebrews 13:4-6

4 Marriage must be respected by all, and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge immoral people and adulterers.(A) 5 Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.(B)[a] 6 Therefore, we may boldly say:

The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?(C)[b]

4 Marriage should be honored by all,(A) and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.(B) 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money(C) and be content with what you have,(D) because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.”[a](E)

6 So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
    What can mere mortals do to me?”[b](F)
