Hebrews 11:3-5

³By faith we understand that the ^[a]worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen hath not been made out of things which appear. ⁴By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had witness borne to him that he was righteous, ^[b]God bearing witness ^[c]in respect of his gifts: and through it he being dead yet speaketh. ⁵By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God translated him: ^[d]for he hath had witness borne to him that before his translation he had been well-pleasing unto God:

New International Version

³By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command,^(A) so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

⁴By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended^(B) as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings.^(C) And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.^(D)

⁵By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”^[a]^(E) For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
