34 For you suffered also with my bonds. And you bore patiently the spoiling of your goods, and that with gladness, knowing in yourselves that you had in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which earns great reward. 36 For you have need of patience, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

34 You suffered along with those in prison(A) and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.(B) 35 So do not throw away your confidence;(C) it will be richly rewarded.
36 You need to persevere(D) so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.(E)
